Mahinda Rajapaksa is celebrating a convincing victory in the country's presidential election. <br /><br />Polls show he beat his rival, the former army general, Sarath Fonseka, by almost twenty per cent. <br /><br />But Fonseka has rejected the result, and troops have been deployed on the streets of the capital, Colombo.<br /><br />Mike Hanna reports.<br /><br />January 21, 2010
