A Pakistani female neuroscientist has been convicted of trying to kill US soldiers and FBI agents while she was being detained at a police station in Afghanistan.<br /><br />Prosecutors accuse Aafia Siddiqui of firing at her interrogators but her lawyers say there was no forensic evidence that the shooting took place.<br /><br />US authorities have linked Siddiqui to al-Qaeda but she was not charged with any terrorism related activities. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Kristen Saloomey reports from New York.
