Vladimir Putin, the Russian prime minister, has defended his country's Nord Stream gas pipeline, amid accusations it could damage the Baltic Sea.<br /><br />Finland is expected to give approval for the project imminently, allowing construction to start later this year for completion by 2012.<br /><br />Stephen Cole asked Sebastien Saas, Nord Stream's EU representive, what impact the project could have on the Baltic Sea. <br /><br />(11 Feb, 2012)
