Israel has agreed to move part of its contentious separation barrier in the West Bank.<br /><br />The re-routing comes almost three years after the country's supreme court ruled that the fence must be moved to ease the hardship of people living in the village of Bil'in.<br /><br />The anticipated new route will move a 1.7km section of the barrier closer to the Israeli settlement of Modi'in Illit.<br /><br />Bil'in should retrieve at least 700,000 square metres, an equivalent amount of 65 football pitches.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Sherine Tadros reports.
