There are mounting concerns in Haiti's earthquake-hit capital about the welfare of thousands of orphans suffering amid the devastation.<br /><br />Al Jazeera has learned of at least one orphanage in the capital, Port-au-Prince, which international observers say is being run in shocking conditions.<br /><br />The plight of orphaned children in Haiti has led to calls for international adoption processes to be sped up. <br /><br />The 7.0-magnitude quake on January 12 killed 300,000 people, made more than one million homeless and left many children vulnerable in Haiti.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Steve Chao has this exclusive report.
