Catherine Ashton. the European Union's new foreign policy chief, is heading to the Middle East for the first time since her appointment in December.<br /><br />Ashton, who will visit Israel, and Gaza, earlier condemned Israel's building plans in East Jerusalem.<br /><br />Harry Smith reports.
