Nine people in three US states said to have ties with a Christian militia group have been charged with sedition and weapons violations.<br /><br />The suspects are believed to be members of a group called Hutaree, which according to their website, means "Christian Warrior".<br /><br />Prosecutors say the defendants were plotting to instigate violence by conspiring to kill police officers in the hopes of provoking government anger.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's John Terrett reports.
