Brazilian authorities have said that at least 247 people have been killed, and more than 160 others are missing after mudslides last week brought widespread destruction in Rio de Janeiro.<br /><br />Authorities have had to tear down many destroyed houses and relocate about 2,600 families to temporary homes. <br /><br />Rio's state government says it has allocated more than $550 million to help provide the displaced families with new and permament houses.<br /><br />Tom Ackerman reports.<br /><br />[April 14, 2010]
