Mass cremations have been held in China's western province of Qinghai for victims of last week's deadly earthquake.<br /><br />Around 700 bodies were blessed by Buddhist monks, placed in a trench and set alight. <br /><br />The number of people known to have died in the disaster has now risen to more than 1,400, but hundreds are still missing.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Melissa Chan reports.
