Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani-born US citizen, was charged on Tuesday with terrorism and attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction in Saturday's botched attack in New York city's Times Square.<br /><br />Investigators in Pakistan are fanning out across the country in search of possible links to the New York's suspect.<br /><br />Shahzad confessed to receiving explosives training in Waziristan,a tribal region in Pakistan where the Taliban is suspected of operating, according to the complaint filed in a Manhattan federal court.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra reports from the port city of Karachi on Shahzad's family ties to the city and his alleged links to terror groups in the area.<br /><br />[May, 05, 2010]
