The South Korean government has stepped up efforts to contain an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease that is threatening the country's livestock industry.<br /><br />Despite widespread quarantines, tens of thousands of animals have been slaughtered from hundreds of farms.<br /><br />Affected farmers have mounted a campaign to claim compensation for their culled animals.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Divya Gopalan reports from Guangha-do county.
