Pakistani officials have warned that an artificial lake formed by a landslide in northern Pakistan could burst its banks within days.<br /><br />They say that about 25,000 people may have to be evacuated to higher ground as rising waters of the Hunza river threaten to submerge and destroy many villages.<br /><br />Military engineers have been working to avert a major crisis and people are being evacuated to safer places.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Kamal Hyder reports. <br /><br />[May 15, 2010]
