Myanmar's Suu Kyi visits refugees

Aung San Suu Kyi arrives to a hero's welcome at a sprawling refugee camp for Burmese nationals in western Thailand.<br/> <br />The Myanmar pro-democracy leader is here to offer her support for the nearly 50,000 people living in the camp.<br/> <br />Many were forced from their homes decades ago by Myanmar's military government.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) NATIONAL LEAGUE FOR DEMOCRACY LEADER AUNG SAN SUU KYI SAYING:<br/> <br />"I would like to them to understand that we are not going to forget them and that we'll do everything possible to make the situation better."<br/> <br />Many were overjoyed to see her.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Thai) 55-YEAR OLD THU THU WIN SAYING:<br/> <br />"I've been in Thailand for 45 years now. I have never gone home. It's like my own mother coming. I was born in Burma, but I haven't lived there.
