Other video shows a frantic rush to collect bodies and the injured<br/> <br />Sixteen people --- were killed in fighting throughout Syria according to the Observatory for Human Rights. The group says many of the dead are soldiers killed by rebel forces.<br/> <br />Shelling in Homs came as thousands gathered for a rally against President Bashar al-Assad in the southern province of Deraa<br/> <br />In Doha, at an Arab League meeting to discuss Syria, peace envoy Kofi Annan.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: U.N. Arab League envoy Kofi Annan saying:<br/> <br />"Today, we have 291 U.N. military observers and over 90 U.N. civilians in the mission in Syria, able to move freely throughout the country and provide objective reports.
