In a country notorious for drugs, those in charge of enforcing the law under difficult and dangerous conditions are hardly insulated from the attractions of opium and heroin use.<br /><br />Now, addicts in uniform have the opportunity to undergo a special treatment involving counselling to overcome their addiction. But many say that narcotics use is a major social problem in Afghanistan, which makes the challenge for recovering addicts all the greater once their treatment is over.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Hoda Abdel Hamid reports from Kabul.
