At least 220 people have been killed in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo after a fuel tanker overturned, unleashing an explosion that engulfed the village of Sange in south Kivu province.<br /><br />The Red Cross says 36 women and 61 children were among the dead.<br /><br />Many of the victims were at home or in cinemas watching the World Cup. <br /><br />Some of those killed were reportedly syphoning off fuel illegally from the wreckage when it caught fire.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher reports.<br /><br />[July 3, 2010]
