Two separatist Muslim groups in the south of Thailand are threatening more violence after joining forces.<br /><br />One of those groups has told Al Jazeera they are fighting for an independent state.<br /><br />In the past six years, there have been several attacks in the majority Muslim south, claiming more than 4,000 lives. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports from Pattani in southern Thailand.
