An Israeli soldier has been charged with manslaughter in an Israeli court for the deaths of two Palestinian women during Israe's war on Gaza. <br /><br />Majda Abu Hajaj and her 64-year-old mother were shot dead while carrying white flags they made out of bed sheets near their homes after the Israeli army forced the women to leave their house. <br /><br />But the victims' relatives say they have have no faith in Israel's justice system, especially since it has taken 18 months for the case to be filed in court. <br /><br />It is the first time an Israeli soldier has been charged with killing a civilian during the war, in which more than 1,400 Palestinians were killed. <br /><br />[July 6, 2010]
