At least 18 people have been killed at a music festival in western Germany.<br /><br />A stampede broke out in a tunnel leading to the "Love Parade" festival on Saturday after authorities tried to stop people from entering the over-crowded area.<br /><br />About 1.4 million people were attending the event in the town of Duisburg near the city of Dusseldorf when the tragedy occurred.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Jim Spencer reports.
