Barack Obama, the US president, says he's going to end his country's combat mission in Iraq by the end of the month.<br /><br />He also said the mission there had canged from a military to a civilian one. <br /><br />However, 50,000 troops will stay on. <br /><br />And with Iraq still facing instability and uncertainty, it is unclear exactly how that civilian role will play out.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rosiland Jordan reports.
