From vinyl to CD.<br />The process I use at home and it works very well with Audacity.<br /><br />Play the vinyl, wet if very crackely. put on reel to reel tape.<br /><br />Play reel to reel tape via audio mixer to lightblue input on computer.<br />The mixer allowes me not to overdrive the soundcard and minimise the distortion of the signal. ( VU output meters barely moving).<br />A taperecorder with variable output control will also work perfectly this way.<br /><br />Record into Audacity software 1.2.6 (which is free on the internet).<br />Put it in WAVE format for the best quality 10MB/minute.<br /><br />Burn to CD. It will play on your CD at home or in the car.<br />At least this is a great solution to listen to the good old records or tapes, which were gathering dust somewhere in the attick.
