Syria's military is using armed force to try to stem the tide of refugees crossing the Turkish border.<br /><br />A witness has told Al Jazeera that soldiers have sealed off the north western town of Khirbet al-Jouz to prevent people leaving.<br /><br />In Brussels, the European Union extended its sanctions on Syria to include three Iranian generals it says are aiding the Syrian crackdown.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Nazanine Sadri reports.
