Standard 3 speed cooling fan converted to 6 speeds by means of a 1.5 uF capacitor and a bypass switch.<br />This is great on hot summer nights when the lowest speed is still too high when reading a newspaper or snoozing, and the draught may be annoying.<br />The splitter makes the extra 3 very low speeds available with no annoying extra noise when these fans are subjected to a dimmer switch.<br />Implementing cost is basically nil, One mains operated on off switch and a mains rated 1.5 uF capacitor.<br />The neon may be added to enhance the visual aspect of the fan.
