My latest addition to my R2R collection.<br /><br />Akai GX 1900 reel to reel and cassette.<br /><br />Built in amplifier to drive two small internal speakers, external 6 watt speakers can be directly plugged in, or the machine can be connected to an amplifier via the RCA connectors at the back.<br /><br />The cassette mechanism has a slipping belt which I have to fix, the tape recorder runs perfect, haven't even cleaned the heads yet at this first test run.<br />The unit is complete with the 15 IPS capstan sleeve and pinch roller.<br />The sound was recorded via the GX 1900 internal speakers and through the camera microphone.
