As flags fly at half mast, officials in the Philippines are trying to find out what went wrong with an attempted rescue operation on a hijacked bus full of tourists.<br /><br />Eight visitors from Hong Kong died after police attempted to storm a bus commandeered by a disgruntled former police commander, who had been fired from the force.<br /><br />A remembrance ceremony was held at the site of the raid, but families of victims are still angry.<br /><br />The government has promised a full investigation into the attack, which is the one recent decision on the matter to win broad approval.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports from Manila.
