As Thailand's politicians grapple for power, its students struggle under a failing education system.<br /><br />Classrooms are overcrowded, learning methods are outdated and many teachers lack inspiration and creativity.<br /><br />The run-up to Thailand's general election on Sunday has been dominated by promises of new policies from both of the major parties. <br /><br />Political parties vying to win Sunday's election are promising to throw even more money at dealing with the problem with populist policies.<br /><br />While solving long-term educational problems may not be a vote winner in Thailand, many people believe it is key to solving the country's political problems.<br /><br />The ruling Democrats party says it will spend $12bn on a reform package while the main opposition party, Puea Thai, is offering students free tablet computers.<br /><br />Experts say that without a quality education system, the future of Thailand could be more turbulent than ever.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports from Bangkok, Thailand.
