Lebanon has announced that it will not comply with the Arab League's decision to impose economic sanctions on its neighbour Syria.<br /><br />With trade between the two countries amounting to an estimated $4.5bn a year, Lebanon's economy has been negatively impacted by the unrest in Syria.<br /><br />The prices of fruit and vegetables have soared, while the tourism sector has also been hurt by the Syrian government's crackdown on protests.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rula Amin, reporting from Beirut, examines the close economic ties between the two countries.
