While on the second leg of his tour of the United States, Xi Jingping, China's vice president and presumptive next leader, revealed some surprising ties to the state of Iowa.<br /><br />This was Xi's second visit to the state; his first was 27 years ago, when he was part of a Chinese delegation studying farm technology.<br /><br />It is now hoped that Xi's "heartland diplomacy" will translate into warmer Sino-US ties. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's John Hendren reports from Muscatine, Iowa.
