In Libya, US senator John McCain has become the first high profile American politician to visit rebel-controlled city of Benghazi.<br /><br />McCain met the leaders of the anti-government forces.<br /><br />He told Al Jazeera he wants the US to formally recognise the National Transitional Council as the authentic voice of the Libyan people.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Mike Hanna reports from Benghazi.
