Police in Britain have now arrested nearly one thousand seven hundred people after days of rioting.<br /><br />During an emergency session of Parliament, Prime Minister David Cameron warned: "all of those found guilty of crimes should expect a jail term."<br /><br />British cities are recovering from four nights of riots and looting that shocked the country, the trouble mainly hit London, but other cities also suffered. <br /><br />More than 900 people have been arrested in the capital alone, with more than 400 already charged. <br /><br />It is hard to estimate the costs but insurers think they will have to pay out something like 320 million dollars. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports from London.
