Egypt's Supreme Constitutional Court has dissolved its recently elected parliament, calling it invalid, and ruled that the ousted president Hosni Mubarak's former prime minister can stand as president.<br /><br />This means the presidential run-off between Ahmed Shafik and the Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammed Morsi will go ahead this weekend. <br /><br />The Brotherhood said the dissolution of parliament will send Egypt into a "dark tunnel". <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Sherine Tadros reports from Cairo.
