One day ahead of presidential elections, Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood candidate, Mohamed Morsy, takes part in Friday prayers in this poor Cairo neighbourhood.<br/> <br />Morsy is due to compete in a two-day run-off election scheduled for this weekend against Ahmed Shafik, the last prime minister of former president Hosni Mubarak's rule.<br/> <br />In Cairo's Tahrir Square, calls for a demonstration were answered by only a few, one day after Egypt's supreme court controversially dissolved parliament.<br/> <br />Judges also ruled to keep Shafik in the race, despite calls to disqualify him because of his links to the former government.<br/> <br />Security forces were out in force around the parliament building ahead of the expected protests, with side streets around the building closed.<br/> <br />Election results will be announced on June 21.<br/> <br />Sarah Sheffer, Reuters
