CULTURAL NARRATIVES: DAVID BARSAMIAN <br /><br />7:00 PM, FRIDAY JUNE 15, 2012 <br />@ the Station Museum of Contemporary Art <br />Free Admission <br /><br />To close out our 2011-12 season, VBB will hold a very special _CULTURAL NARRATIVES_ production featuring David Barsamian. One of America's most tireless and wide-ranging journalists, Barsamian has altered the independent media landscape, both with his weekly radio program and his books with Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Tariq Ali, Edward Said, Eqbal Ahmad, and Arundhati Roy. His articles and interviews appear in The Progressive, The Sun, and other magazines and journals. Barsamian also serves on VBB’s Advisory Board and is director of Alternative Radio and author of many books of interviews, including Targeting Iran. <br /><br />On June 15, David Barsamian will be talking about his experience as a journalist and his new book Occupy the Economy (City Lights, May 2012). After the show, Barsamian will be available for a Q&A session and to sign books.
