ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Bolivia on Tuesday (June 19), starting his Latin American tour which will include a stop in Brazil for the Rio+20 summit.<br/> <br />The controversial Iranian leader was met by Bolivian President Evo Morales. The two heads of state are expected to discuss bilateral issues - including energy resources - and look at strengthening cooperation between the nations.<br/> <br />Ahmadinejad descended from the plane wearing a handmade indigenous Bolivian bag around his neck. After a brief ceremony reviewing the presidential honor guard and listening to the national anthems for both countries, Ahmadinejad and Morales departed for a private meeting at the presidential palace.<br/> <br />Ahmadinejad has made several trips to Latin America in recent years. He visited Venezuela, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Cuba in January, and was last in Bolivia in 2009.<br/> <br />In 2010, Morales met with Ahmadinejad in Iran.<br/> <br />After his visit to Brazil for the Rio+20 summit, Ahmadinejad is scheduled to head to Venezuela, where he is expected to meet with ally President Hugo Chavez.
