ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: The Speaker of Myanmar's Upper House, Khin Aung Myint, visited the Vietnamese president and other officials in Hanoi on Friday (June 22), during an official four-day trip to the country.<br/> <br />Khin was greeted by the Vietnamese chairmen of the National Assembly, Nguyen Sinh Hung, before the two counterparts sat down for a bilateral meeting.<br/> <br />Khin was also welcomed by Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang and is expected to meet meet Party Chief Nguyen Phu Trong later in the day.<br/> <br />Vietnam regularly meets with Myanmar to discuss regional and international issues and both have taken an active role in ASEAN.<br/> <br />Vietnam and Myanmar established diplomatic ties on May 28, 1975, shortly after the war in Vietnam.
