Tropical Storm Debby brings flood misery to parts of Florida.<br/> <br />The large storm weakened to a tropical depression as it drifted ashore on Tuesday.<br/> <br />It dumped up to 61 centimetres of rain in some areas of the U.S. state.<br/> <br />Forecasters are warning another 20 centimetres could fall during the following two days.<br/> <br />In one area, Pasco County, up to 20, 000 people were ordered to leave their homes between two rivers.<br/> <br />The storm was raising coastal waters and pushing them inland, stopping rainwater draining out to sea.<br/> <br />Flash flood warnings are in place for many areas.<br/> <br />Emergency officials say more than half the deaths from tropical cyclones in the U.S. over the last 30 years are linked to inland flooding.<br/> <br />Paul Chapman, Reuters
