PLEASE NORE: EDIT CONTAINS FILE OF TURKISH FIGHTER JETS<br/> <br />Relations between Turkey and Syria are unraveling as tensions grow between the two neighbours.<br/> <br />Syrian President Bashar al-Assad told a Turkish newspaper that he wished Syrian forces had not shot down a Turkish fighter jet last month and that he would not allow tensions between the two countries to turn into open combat.<br/> <br />But some Turks feel his remorse is not good enough.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Turkish) ISTANBUL RESIDENT, ATILLA BAYRAM SAYING:<br/> <br />"I don't accept this, they shot the plane down deliberately. Our government must take serious precautions. They must not get away with this.
