Canada hunts for answers on gun crime

Talks aimed at creating the world's first legally binding treaty on the arms trade are continuing in New York.<br /><br />The transfer of small arms kill millions of people every year. In Canada, there are almost as many guns per person as in America, but the country has a far lower rate of gun crime.<br /><br />Nonetheless, when it comes to violent crime, it seems there are two Canadas. <br /><br />One, in which, firearms are generally used responsibly and safely, and another, in which guns and gangs are part of a pattern of poverty, unemployment and a sense of exclusion.<br /><br />Al Jazeera’s Daniel Lak reports from Toronto
