Francesco Schettino, the former captain of the wrecked cruise liner Costa Concordia, who is currently facing trial for causing the accident in January which left up to 32 people dead.<br/> <br />Italian judges are lifting their house arrest order on the captain, but say he must stay within the limits of his hometown here in Meta di Sorrento.<br/> <br />He is also no longer bound by the strict conditions of his house arrest, which prevented him from communicating with anyone but his lawyer and close family.<br/> <br />Schettino faces charges of multiple manslaughter, causing the accident by bringing the vessel too close to the shore and abandoning ship prematurely.<br/> <br />Sarah Sheffer, Reuters
