The site of a deadly bus crash in Nepal.<br/> <br />At least nine people were killed on Monday when their bus veered off the country's main transport artery and plunged into a river.<br/> <br />More than 18 others were injured in the accident, about 80 kilometres west of the capital Kathmandu.<br/> <br />The area is considered particularly dangerous during the monsoon season, which lasts roughly from June through August, when landslides are common.<br/> <br />Monday's accident took place just one day after at least 35 pilgrims, most of them from India, were killed when a bus plunged into an irrigation canal in southwestern Nepal.<br/> <br />Travis Brecher, Reuters
