Rebels appear to control parts of Damascus

Syrian rebels appeared to be in control of several parts of the capital Damascus after killing three of President Bashar Assad's inner circle.<br/> <br />Unverified video uploaded on a social media website shows rebels flashing the victory sign, driving trucks with mounted machine guns through the narrow streets.<br/> <br />Earlier, a suicide bomber killed three of Assad's top military officials-- a major blow to the regime, a major victory for the rebels.<br/> <br />Hours after the attack, a leader of the Free Syria Army said rebels vowed to continue the fight.<br/> <br />"The end is near, God willing" he said.<br/> <br />That sentiment was echoed in Washington where the head of the Syrain National Council said the events of the past 24 hours mark the beginning of the end.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) RADWAN ZIADEH, FOREIGN RELATION OFFICE OF THE SYRIAN NATIONAL COUNCIL, SAYING:<br/> <br />"This will be tipping point.
