Peter Doherty's grabbing headlines again, not for his music, but for a spell in a drugs rehab clinic in Thailand.<br/> <br />The 33-year-old was asked to leave 'The Cabin' in Chiang Mai because professionals at the clinic felt he wasn't ready to stop using drugs.<br/> <br />The clinic issued a statement saying it was important to maintain the integrity of the treatment program for the other clients to have a good chance of recovery.<br/> <br />Doherty's history of drug and alcohol abuse has been well documented in the media.<br/> <br />He rose to fame in the early noughties with bands, the Libertines and later, Babyshambles.<br/> <br />Recently he appeared at the Cannes film festival to promote his starring role in the film, 'Confession of a Child of the Century.'<br/> <br />Doherty was due to perform at festivals in June and July, but pulled out to fly out to the jungle clinic.<br/> <br />He lasted three weeks on the recovery programme.<br/> <br />Joanne Nicholson, Reuters
