More than 15,000 nurses are needed in Japan, as the country faces a growing ageing population. <br /><br />In addition, the turnover among Japanese nurses in hospitals is high, as working conditions are very demanding that even death from overwork has been reported. <br /><br />Hiring foreigners has been a challenge for the country as most of them failed to pass the standard Japanese nursing examination.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Tony Birtley reports from Tokyo, the Japanese capital city.
