US divided over stimulus impact

In the run-up to US mid-term elections, one of the major topics being debated is the impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.<br /><br />The government had invested more than $700b in measures to help pull the country out of the economic recession by creating jobs and promoting consumer spending. <br /><br />While the Democrats say the stimulus prevented the country from a financial meltdown, Republicans claim it was simply a waste of money. <br /><br />Casey Kauffman reports from Tennessee, a state with one of the highest unemployment rates in the US.
