Qantas airways has grounded its fleet of flagship Airbus<br />A380 jets hours after a mid-air explosion forced an emergency landing at Singapore airport.<br /><br />Officials said the plane experienced a "significant engine failure", shortly after taking off from Changi airport en route to Sydney.<br /> <br />Debris which is thought to belong to the Qantas plane was found on the Indonesian island of Batam. <br /> <br />The aircraft then turned around and returned to Singapore airport.<br /> <br />Al Jazeera's Bernard Smith reports.
