Germany thrives amid recession

As Europe struggles back from recession, Germany remains its economic engine.<br /><br />The European Commission predicts the German economy will grow by 1.2 per cent in 2010.<br /><br />That is when the Greece economy is expected to shrink by 3 per cent Ireland by 1 per cent.<br /><br />When debt-ridden Greece needed a $145bn bailout back in May, Germany contributed the most.<br /><br />So what's keeping Europe's biggest economy humming, even in tough times for its neighbours?<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Jonah Hull reports from Frankfurt, on how the Germans do things differently.
