A former Chinese government health official is calling for an investigation into a tainted blood scandal, which he says infected more than 100 thousand people and killed at least 10 thousand.<br /><br />For years, hundreds of people have protested over the tainted blood scandal and official attempts to cover it up.<br /><br />China's HIV and AIDS epidemic of the 1990s which is believed to have been caused by medical workers who had collected blood from poor villagers using dirty needles.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Azhar Sukri reports.
