Of the many thousands of people caught trying to enter the EU illegally each year, some 90 per cent are no Greece's borders.<br /><br />In September and October between 100 and 350 people were believed to have been illegally crossing the land border between Greece and Turkey every day.<br /><br />In a bid to control the situation, a multi-national police force has been deployed to patrol the Greece-Turkey border.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Barnaby Phillips reports from the border.
