Mounting debts, international competition and climate change are all being blamed as the reason for a rising number of Indian farmers who are taking their own lives.<br /><br />Official figures say at least 17,000 farmers committed suicide in 2009.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Sohail Rahman reports from the farming belt in India's Andhra Pradesh state.
