Unprecedented protests are continuing across Egypt, as demonstrators defy a government ban on public gatherings.<br /><br />Those on the streets are protesting against the 30-year rule of Hosni Mubarak, the president.<br /><br />Security forces have intensified their crackdown, advancing on crowds with batons, tear gas and even rubber bullets. Police say they have detained more than 800 people across the country.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rawya Rageh reports from Cairo.
